National Hispanic Heritage Month is the period from September 15 to October 15 in the United States, when people recognize the contributions of Hispanic and Latino Americans to the group's heritage and culture.

This Sunday we'll have special guest, Maritza De La Pena, Peace Corps volunteer in Ivano-Frankivsk region (Roshniv) who will have presentation about Tejano Culture and History in the USA. The Tejano are residents of the state of Texas who are culturally descended from the original Spanish-speaking settlers of Texas and northern Mexico. They may be variously of Criollo Spaniard, Mestizo American, or Mexican American origin.
